Hello everyone, my name is Xie Dongmian, and I’m someone who absolutely loves sleeping. If I had to describe myself in one sentence, it would be: “Life can be without many things, but it definitely can’t be without sleep.” To me, sleeping isn’t just a way to rest. It’s a kind of enjoyment, a lifestyle, and you could even say it’s my personal philosophy of life.

One of my favorite things to do is lie comfortably in bed, snuggle under a warm blanket, forget about everything, and slowly drift off to sleep. Especially on weekends, if I don’t have anything important to do, I can happily choose to keep sleeping. When my alarm goes off, my first thought usually isn’t, “It’s time to get up.” Instead, it’s, “Just five more minutes…” Then five minutes later, it becomes, “Just five more minutes,” and before I know it, I’m sleeping until I naturally wake up. 😂

My friends often ask me, “Why do you love sleeping so much?” My answer is simple—because sleeping feels amazing! If I wake up feeling tired, I’ll sleep a little longer. If I didn’t get enough sleep yesterday, I’ll make up for it today. And if there’s no particular reason to get up early, then why not enjoy a good, long sleep?

Although I love sleeping, that doesn’t mean I’m someone who does nothing all day. I just prefer taking things slowly rather than rushing through life. Compared with waking up early, I much prefer sleeping in. And compared with staying up late, I value getting a good night’s sleep. For me, one of the happiest moments of the day is taking a shower, getting into bed, turning off the lights, and telling myself, “You worked hard today. Now you don’t have to think about anything.”

I’m an easygoing person, and I don’t like making life more stressful than it needs to be. I believe life already gives us plenty of things to work hard for, so whenever we have a chance to rest, we should truly enjoy it. And whenever there’s a chance to sleep, we definitely shouldn’t waste it!

I’m Xie Dongmian—a person who loves sleeping, loves dreaming, and truly believes that “you need to get enough sleep before you have the energy to face the world.” It’s very nice to meet you all! And if you ever can’t find me, don’t worry—I’m probably just sleeping. 😴💤
